Knowing I had bought this eepc for my youngest daughter, I was expecting it to last only a year or so. When it wouldnt charge after 8 months, I was very disappointed and then began to search for a "new" battery. I had checked the adapter and saw no cracking in the wire or any defects. I thought to myself, why not try an adapter first and see if we can milk the battery for all it has left. Sure enough, this company offered a new adapter at such a reasonable price I couldnt refuse. It was either buy milk and adapter, or battery and kool aid. Guess which won. The shipping was super fast and the adapter worked. That little computer was working before my daughter got home from work. She was so thrilled, she almost acted like I had bought her a new one! May sound extreme, but when a teenager spends most of their time on a computer, it does become an important part of their life. If you are asking yourself if you should or shouldnt get this adapter, let me say this; this company is great and works with you. Get it, you can always return should it not be an answer to your problem. As for me, Im very thankful!!!!!It works just fine!!
Replacement Charger, Back in Business September 12, 2009

The original eeePC charger that came with our netbook began to suffer a short where the cord enter the plug base. This resulted in sporadic losses of charging. If you weren't paying attention we'd find your laptop not charging or dead. Also, there was the concern that this short would be a fire hazard.
This replacement charger works perfectly, matches our white Asus and is small and lightweight. It promptly charged the netbook without heating up or any other issues.
The included mousepad seems like an afterthought, but at this price, I wasn't really concerned.
