Product Description Whether computing within your home, around town and campus, or across the country, the ultra-portable HP Mini 110 can keep you connected with built-in Wi-Fi. It has the performance you need to surf the web and use your standard productivity software apps -- but is light enough to carry everywhere at just 2.57 lbs. It syncs files, photos and videos easily with your primary notebook or desktop PC whenever connected to the same network with the integrated SyncablesTM app. After initial SyncablesTM setup, the file updates will occur in the background for a truly seamless experience. The HP Mini 110: The perfect mobile companion. ULTRA MOBILE PERFORMANCE: Based on an architecture that optimizes internet access and basic communication, Intel Atom processors power the HP Mini's reliable, energy-efficient performance. The LED anti-glare widescreen display reduces both system weight and reflections that can distract from the visual experience.

So Small But WOW! October 5, 2009 Joseph Albanese (New York, New York United States) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
Skeptical was my first reaction when I popped into a computer store and saw the 110. It's size and weight (comparable to a ladies purse or a hardcover novel) made me a bit leary about even thinking about getting a netbook.
But it's a different world these days and the screen on even the best smart phone doesn't make browsing easy.
The HP Mini 110 sets up with no troubles. Finding my wireless router (and the WiFi at my local Starbuck's) was also an uncomplicated process. Yes, the keyboard is a bit too small and the mouse pad takes a lot of patience to use but consider that you can haul this laptop anywhere. And, despite the fact that it is loudly touted as a means to surf the web, don't let that restrict you. The HP Mini 110 can handle an office suite so you really can have the best of both worlds. In fact, I found that the HP Mini 110 works better on software then with certain web applications (YouTube, Hulu, etc. are easy to access but the video's are choppy and playback is poor).
So, for the money (and you'll have enough left over to buy a DVD drive to load this guy up and a mouse), I highly recommend this netbook.
super netbook easy to use.... December 23, 2009 I run like a Girl 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Funny how much difference 2 lbs can make my other notebook is 5 pounds. This one is about 3 pounds but since that is 40% less it is FEATHERLIGHT in comparison.
Mine came with Windows 7, which just went on with a flip of the power button.
Connected to the internet in a flash.
Went through and took out the MS office preview,
(trust me it will always try and open your attachments)
Also took off the Norton Preview (it will only try and sell you the subscription)
Now It works like a charm, battery life is nice, screen is clear with LED backlight.
Keyboard is small but easily enough to type.
SO far, the memory has been enough, I don't plan on doing huge applications and if you do, a NETBOOK is not for you!
Surfing the internet, getting emails, writing letters, printing mapquest,
and using itunes for your ipod, this does all of this and is easy to carry.
OVERALL RATING 5 stars... I will update if this changes
Great and convenient November 22, 2009 E. Ruelas (Denver) I love this little thing, its keyboard is not bad and the screen and design are attractive. The only thing i don't like is its battery. it's charge doesn't last very long. And a 6-cell battery costs about $100 . . . besides that. its great for the price.
Great buy February 11, 2010 CAPT Q I purchased the HP- Mini 110-1020R as a giftfor my wife. It has become a great travel companion for both of use.
Even at home it is much more convenient than the laptop. Great speed, easy to set up and very light.
A great buy for the price.
I Love This Netbook February 11, 2010 Book Reader I'm in love! Originally I bought the HP Mini with the 8 GB hard drive in May 2009 and the capacity proved way to small for my needs, so in October 2009 I popped for this netbook! Wow, 160 GB hard drive and Windows XP (I did not want Windows Vista or Windows 7!) Faster than fast. I swapped in 2 GB of RAM[...]. I usually have 4 major applications running at the same time and have never had any issues with slowness or lagging!
All in all, if you're thinking about buying one of these new (if they're still available in February 2010) or buying one used, I'd say go for it!
